Whisper Mountain is a remote and luxurious couples getaway, nestled on a mountain ridge and 34 acres near Broken Bow/Hochatown, Oklahoma. The resort currently consists of two glass suites, each with an elevated outdoor patio, and a hiking trail with access to the Glover River, Oklahoma's only undammed river. Whisper Mountain's glass suites feature floor to ceiling, mirrored glass on three sides, which open to breathtaking views of the Ouachita Mountains and valley. At night, as you lay in your bed, you will be completely immersed in stars like you have never seen before. You will feel like you are floating in the Milky Way. In the morning, the soft amber light of the sunrise will wash over you through the glass as it eases over the mountains from the east.
Each suite also features a steam shower (with all glass on one side!), side-by-side outdoor soaking tubs, a fully-equipped kitchen, and a smart bidet toilet. We had an absolutely amazing stay at Whisper Mountain Resorts! The views were breathtaking and the property was even more beautiful in person. The pictures are exactly what you can expect — no surprises, just stunning scenery and a beautiful space. Everything was clean, peaceful, and perfect for a relaxing getaway. The hosts were incredibly kind, responsive, and welcoming from start to finish. You can truly tell they care about their guests’ experience. Our stay at this cabin was absolutely enchanting! From the moment we arrived, it felt like stepping into a peaceful, hidden world far from everything — yet with every modern comfort imaginable. The remote location made it the perfect escape, surrounded by nothing but nature and quiet, while the cabin’s luxury touches — from the plush bedding to the elegant décor — made it feel like a high-end retreat. It’s rare to find a place that feels both so secluded and so indulgent — truly the best of both worlds. We can’t wait to return for another dreamy getaway!

I booked 5 days in this beautiful cabin to “recharge” my battery, and it did not disappoint. I originally planned to go hiking at the state park and go explore other areas, but it was so peaceful and quiet that I never left. The view is mesmerizing. The aesthetic is perfect, matching the inside to the outside, and everything feels so luxe and high-end. Sleeping “under the stars” and waking up to the incredible sunrise was magical. And then there’s the steam shower! The owners were super nice and proactive with instructions that made finding the property and check-in so easy. I’m sad I had to leave and come back to the real world, but I will definitely be back.

The outdoor bathtubs took stargazing while relaxing to a whole different level. The view was amazing, and watching to sun rise and fall from the glass windows was breathtaking. Even the shower had a glass window from floor to ceiling. The host David was kind, responsive, and kept us in the loop on everything. He and his wife were so kind, and absolutely made the house feel like home. They both are definitely the heart of the entire build. If you ever wanted to experience something unforgettable book with them!! We will definitely be back to stay several times a year, and cannot wait for future additions to Whisper Mountain. This will be the new tradition for my husband and I.
